In the Neighborhood

Glencarlyn is a quiet, historic neighborhood originally established in 1896. There are about 600 homes in the community situated at the south-west corner of Arlington County.
The Glencarlyn Citizen's Association acts as the voice of the community. Within the community it helps to organize a number of neighborhood events, including the annual Glencarlyn Day Parade, a colorful Halloween Party, and the Christmas Luminaria that lights up the neighborhood streets. The Association provides a forum for debating community issues, and ensuring the local County and business representatives is responsive to Glencarlyn's interests.
Our monthly newsletter, The Village View, keeps residents informed about local issues and what's happening with our neighbors. The Village View was first published in 1903.
